Cambridge Clarity Counselling

SHARON DANIEL

Cambridgeshire based female counsellor specialising in trauma, anxiety, family and relationships. With over a decade of professional experience in helping people overcome many destructive behavioural patterns.

I work with compassion and integrity, and by building client relationships based on mutual respect I believe great healing can take place.

Treatment can take a number of different forms, I work alongside each person in order to create a therapy that's tailored to meet their own specific needs. I work in a integrative way which includes Motivational Interviewing techniques, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness. I also incorporate family systems work into my practice. I am fully committed to my own personal and professional development as I believe this is key to being a competent practitioner.

I am only too aware of the fear involved in asking for help and am here to help facilitate your journey into recovery. In my experience the journey out of active addiction can not be achieved alone, I am here to help you find a program that suits you.

I am an accredited practioner working from a private practice in Cambridge.

I trained as a Counsellor at Bath University and after having developed a special interest in family systems, i went on to train at the Center for systemic family Constellations in London. This was an extraordinary experience, and i feel privileged in being taught by the best, including Judith Hemming. I have over a decade of professional experience in helping people overcome many issues. Such as destructive behavioural patterns including addictive disorders, I also specialise  in family therapy , trauma ,anxiety, low self-worth and relationship problems.

I work with compassion and integrity, and by building client relationships based on mutual respect great healing can take place.

I believe therapy is most powerful when it is shaped around your unique needs and life experiences. My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, combining somatic awareness, mindfulness, parts work, and family systems. This means we explore not only your thoughts and emotions, but also how past experiences are held in the body and nervous system.

Together we can gently uncover and work with the different parts of you — the protective strategies, the hurting places, and the resilient, resourceful aspects — so that you can begin to feel more whole and connected. For many clients, this process brings relief from long-standing cycles of pain or destructive behaviours, and opens the possibility of living with more freedom and authenticity.

I am also a dedicated member of the Diamond Approach, an embodied spiritual path that informs the way I live and work. This orientation brings a depth of presence, compassion, and inquiry into therapy, supporting not only healing but also a deeper sense of meaning and connection.

I am committed to my own ongoing personal and professional development, knowing that the more resourced and authentic I am, the more fully I can meet you in your own process. At the heart of my work is respect, curiosity, and compassion — creating the conditions for genuine healing and transformation.

In my experience the journey out of problematic behaviours and family entanglements is difficult to resolve alone, I am here to help you find a way forward.
